Just a few of Marketman’s fans
Market Manila is what I call a ”˜one stop shop’ for everything anyone needs (and wants!) to know about Filipino food: write-ups of individual ingredients as well as where to get them. For Filipinos living abroad, I imagine that Market Manila makes them reminisce (and hunger!) for food they grew up with. For locals, it’s a quick guide to what’s new at the market. For me, several of the posts in Market Manila make me say, “Oh yeah, I forgot about that! Gotta get me some.”
Yesterday, the master behind Market Manila, Marketman or ”˜MM’ as he’s often called, held an EB (EyeBall). It was an opportune time for his legion of fans to meet and greet the man behind the marvel that is Market Manila.
The EB was held at Galileo Enoteca, a quirky yet charming Italian place located in the deepest recesses of Mandaluyong. There were about 30 of us, all kindred souls bound by an insatiable love for food. Conversations flowed free and fast, punctuated by happy shrieks and roars of laughter. I, for one, was absolutely delighted to meet some of the people who are regular commenters of this blog. You know who you are ”“ my warmest thanks go to you. And especially you, Marketman.
Let my photos complete the story for me:
