October is Coffee Month.
If you find yourself strolling through Ayala Center this weekend, head on over to Greenbelt 3 and 5. The Philippine Coffee Board is holding their annual coffee festival, and this year, it’s entitled “Coffee Origins, Discovering The Philippines’ Best.”
There are just a few exhibitors at both venues but the coffee offered are those grown on private farms in various regions. Most of them are familiar ”“ Gourmet’s, Continental, and Cordillera Coffee, the beverage sponsor of my Dessert Comes First dessert party way back in 2006. (Hmm, shall we do a Part 2 of that?)
There’s plenty of coffee to be had here and it’s free and free-flowing. A little patience is occasionally required since new beans have to be ground and brewed. But it’s all good. When you’re on a caffeine high, it always is.
