Seduction, serenity, and style – all from TWG Tea.
It’s at Sweet Bella Café where I discover that TWG Tea is available locally. I’d enjoyed frequenting their tea patisseries when in Singapore and I’m ecstatic that their products are now in Manila.
TWG stands for The Wellness Group, a luxury concept established in Singapore that celebrates Asia’s tea heritage while imbuing it with European elegance. Their loose leaf teas, tea bags, and packaged teas are beautifully presented, touching and tantalizing the senses.
Tanya Juliano is part of the team who has brought in TWG Tea to Manila and she gives me some background. “One of our partners was looking for a good tea to serve in her restaurant, something that would make her beverage selection unique and she was encouraged by the good feedback that she received for TWG Tea. From there our company (Manila Global Brand Distributors Inc. [MGBDI]) was set up to bring in these wonderful teas.” Though Tanya acknowledges that the Philippines’ tea culture presently pales in comparison to the coffee culture, “…there is still a good number of people who appreciate the flavor of tea.”
Here, a photo essay on the fine products of TWG Teas.
TWG teabags are a work of art in themselves. Rip open the pack: see and feel the 100% cotton, hand-sewn bag which is free of glue or staples. The natural thread allows the full transfer of flavor from bag to cup.
Tea for one.
Every guest at the Dessert Comes First Christmas Gift List will be served beverages made from TWG Tea as well as a pair of TWG teabags.
Spices, flowers, and fruits perfume TWG Teas. It’s an immediate aroma that I smell and a scent that transforms into full flavor in my tea cup.
TWG Tea’s collection is the largest in the world with over 1,000 tea blends from various single-estate, quality harvests from tea-producing countries.
Cocoa Tea (loose leaf) smells like a liquid brownie, yes really.

I like TWG’s Alexandria, green tea scented with mint and vanilla.
Although I’ll always prefer coffee, especially with dessert, I do enjoy tea very much, as well. Looking forward to the Moroccan Mint and Iced Milk Tea. 🙂
I’ve tried only TWG’s caramel tea. The aroma is a dessert by itself.
Lovin’ the pink teapot. Goes so well with the elegant TWG teas.
The pink facade of the “Gentleman’s” tea recommends otherwise… But there is also a saying that “Only a real man can wear pink”… Makes me chortle every time I see it! 🙂
TWG!!! their teas are top-notch. 🙂 this will make a great gift. haven’t tried the cocoa tea yet. i gotta get me a cup of that soon. 🙂
Hi Lori! Where can I buy the TWG teas?
I bought a box of the Moroccan Mint and immediately brewed and iced a pitcher when we got home from the event. I am so happy with the result. I also got a box of variants, so I can get to taste most of the teas and take my pick next time. Other people might balk at the price, but the value cannot be argued against. Mayhaps I shall get more when we go to Singapore, if not, I will order from the same people I met today.
Thank you, Lori, for yet another fantastical, one-of-a-kind event.
Yes, it smelled like chocolates with hints of spices. Had I the budget, I would’ve gotten a tin of each tea flavor. That Silver Moon is also a winner.
Brian’s thinking of bundling some TWG Tea packets with French macaroons for Christmas gifts. We’ll see.
Hi Lori! I made a mistake! I gave you the wrong landline. My apologies for this. our number is +632 624 0838. Again, so sorry for this. Hope you can correct it? Thanks a lot!!!

Much Thanks Lori!
Hi, Ms. Lori! These look gorgeous! I was wondering how much the loose leaf tea bags are, as they would be great presents for the holidays. But I feel a bit intimidated going inside the TWG salon. Haha. TIA!
