As a Hanoian. browsing through your website looking for recipes (yes, I’m all about food), I find your photos really interesting. I prefer reading blogs of foreigner about where I am from just to see how their feeling.

Your photos, infact, is very realistic. They remind me so much of home and how much I miss it. (I’m an international student in United States!).

The legendary Hanoi scooter traffic! It’s crazy! We were like a bunch of meerkats caught in a stampede while crossing the streets. You took awesome photos of Hoan Kiem Lake, Lori! It’s equally stunning at sunset. Hapro was nice, also a step away from Bobby Chin’s but Cafe Hue was my personal favorite at the Old Quarter.

Hi Miss Lori, I was there last 19th to 23rd with my cousin and we encountered the same problem of crossing the street.. but I got so used to it that i became the “street crossing queen” instantly. We love Hanoi and even went to Halong Bay, we would visit Saigon next time… can’t wait for the 3 remaining parts.

I’ve never been to Vietnam, but from your pictures, I find it incredibly… clean?
