My husband and I grabbed 2 dozens of Krispy Kreme last sunday and we fell in love with it. super delicious…it just melts in your mouth!!!

Finally, got the chance to taste the talk of the town doughnut during our school homecoming. Don’t know how it landed in the buffet table but nevertheless, didnt let the opportunity passed me by. I can only say “WOW” far different from the local doughnut here. Cant wait for the big opening. =)

I live in Winston-Salem, where KK was founded. I have grown up eating them (and you can tell it by looking at me. Ha.)

Not long ago on my dinner break (I work at night) I was hungry but couldn't decide what to eat. I was driving down Stratford Road and KK had it's Hot Doughnuts Now sign on. OH GOSH. (It's close to the original bldg, beside where it stood, the original was torn down. I KNOW). I ate three HOT glazed donuts for dinner. Horrible, I know. But I can't help it when I see that sign.

You have to have them hot at the store. You MUST.

speaking as someone who used to handcarry 2 boxes of the doughnuts from LA only to have them all soggied up on arrival in MNL, i have to say that Go Nuts made a good replacement for KK.

of course now that KK is here, we can finally compare!

unfortunately, i’m not a big krispy kreme fan. they opened 2 stores here in HK last Nov. and i don’t see any lines snaking past the door… too sweet for the chinese tooth i believe. in any case, KK should get you to do their ads. i might not like its too-sweet taste, but you sure make it look (and sound) like a little piece of heaven at the Fort. when do we get to see you here in HK? Paris is now my lunch group’s city of choice, if only because of your hot chocolate blog. if only we could live and eat there and not worry about making a living or learning the language…sigh
