For The Coffee Junkie: Something To Do This Weekend

October is Coffee Month.

If you find yourself strolling through Ayala Center this weekend, head on over to Greenbelt 3 and 5. The Philippine Coffee Board is holding their annual coffee festival, and this year, it’s entitled “Coffee Origins, Discovering The Philippines’ Best.”

There are just a few exhibitors at both venues but the coffee offered are those grown on private farms in various regions. Most of them are familiar – Gourmet’s, Continental, and Cordillera Coffee, the beverage sponsor of my Dessert Comes First dessert party way back in 2006. (Hmm, shall we do a Part 2 of that?)

Anyway.

There’s plenty of coffee to be had here and it’s free and free-flowing. A little patience is occasionally required since new beans have to be ground and brewed. But it’s all good. When you’re on a caffeine high, it always is.
