Here’s the winner of Week 1′s contest: What’s Your Favorite Rainy Day Food?
And the winner is: Chie Santiago for her photo, “Korean beef stew from Little Asia” !
She describes it thus: “This is (hands down) the BEST Korean Beef Stew! My husband and I love this. Sabaw pa lang, ulam na!”
A braised beef dish that’s slow-cooked for hours to coax all the flavor out, it has countless versions. Some are dry and like Chie’s photo, some are soupy and glorious. Served hot with plenty of rice, it’s close to the rib-sticking heartiness that I yearn for on a rainy night.
View Chie’s photo as well as all the other entries from Week 1 on my Ovi channel.
Chie: I’ll send you a private email through your Ovi account regarding the claiming of your prize.
Thanks so much to all of you who joined DiscOVIries Week 1! I look forward to seeing the photos for Week 2: What You Like To Eat When No One’s Looking.

Yippee! Thanks Lori! I am a fan of your blog and I still can’t get over the fact that my photo was featured. I have never won anything in my entire adult life so this is definitely BIG for me =)

there is a branch in tomas morato and in promenade, greenhills. you should also try their velvet prawns, stir fried beef noodles and yang chow rice which serves four.
