Donut in my pocket (My 100th post)

This is a pocket of heaven called a donut pocket. It’s a donut that’s been sliced in the middle; soft-serve vanilla ice cream is then “piped” into the resulting chasm, dribbled with your choice of peanut butter or chocolate sauce, and then sprinkled with a few nuts.

Then you take a bite: you have to open up your maw extra wide for this ambrosial monstrosity. You hear a slight crracck as your teeth shatter the peanut butter sauce that has now hardened. Your mouth proceeds to sink into the doughy, sugary goodness of the donut, and your tongue salivates as it comes into contact with the chill that is the ice cream. It flows and floods your mouth, and as you taste once again the cushiony goodness of the donut, you pull a bite away.

You chew and chew. Slowly, thoughtfully. The ice cream mixes with the donut and then melts — first the ice cream, then the donut: a collusion of soft, sweet, slipping and sliding on your tongue. As you swallow, you feel blood rushing to your brain, and your heart swells. This is what happens when you taste something that’s so. Good.

Okay, wake up. Dream’s over.

Now go make your dream a reality. The donut pocket is available at all Gonuts Donuts branches. At only P16 per pocket, reality is even better than fantasy.
