A Rogue Right Now
posted by Lori in Miscellaneous
No one’s ever called me a rogue before and I’m not sure that description even fits me, save for the “unorthodox and unpredictable” part of that word’s definition.
This month, I’m thrilled to be part of Rogue Magazine’s feature on “8 Of The Country’s Most Trusted Food Blogs.” I like Rogue because it’s a rogue, a much appreciated departure from the fluff that pose as monthly glossies. Above, my write-up and below, how the page looks in the magazine. Most honored as well to have been shot by the great Neal Oshima and the opportunity to snarf at least 16 chocolate chip cookies during the shoot. Thanks, Rogue!

A special, deeply heartfelt THANK YOU most especially to Katrina L. who penned my write-up. She’s an ardent supporter of DCF: has attended all the events, comments frequently, and keeps me up to date on the food scene. She knows me and gets what DCF is all about and it shows in the piece. I hope you enjoyed the cheesecake, Katrina.
Roguish behavior I’ve exhibited in the last week or so. I know I’ve been remiss in posting. Let’s just say that being a rogue is in vogue for me right now, and this rogue needs to recharge. I’ve been doing a lot of reading and cooking – - stuff that re-connects me to what I love to do and which make me a better food writer.
I’ll be back soon, whether “soon” is as early as this week or next god-knows-when.

Thank YOU for agreeing to be featured, Lori! I’m so happy you think I got what DCF is all about in the write-up, as that’s what I tried to do with all the blogs I wrote about. And what a fab photo — it’s so you!
And oh, my, my…your cheesecake… Proof that you truly deserve to be called a “temptress.”
