Yes! CBTL – their cheesecake is to die for, one of the best in the city! It actually tastes like real cream cheese! The Pistachio Sans Rival beckons me everytime I go and who could resist their Chai Latte.

I’m not a coffee person, but very much a tea person. While the prices at Coffee Bean are kind of steep, they have a vanilla tea that both smells and tastes delicious, and their Chicago cheesecake is better than any cheesecake I’ve ever tried locally. That alone is worth coming back for again and again!

I like the English tea latte at CBTL, it’s my late night drink instead of coffee. I do have a friend who’s allergic to the french vanilla powder they use though.

Mmmmm, I love chai too! They also serve chai at Swaggat, the indian restaurant on Rada St. in Makati. It’s not tall and frothy like the one in CBTL but it’s pretty good. Have the chai masala because what is tagged in the menu as regular chai is simply tea with milk…the chai masala is the one with all the spices.

You can also get a really good biscotti at the Salcedo Market. Look for the booth of Tommy’s Coffee, a girl sells it there, I think her name is Gretchen…they are yummy and really crunchy!
