Note: This is my annual Christmas list of gifts for the food lover, incredible edibles and a few that aren’t meant to be eaten. As the holidays approach, I hope that you find something here that will gladden the hearts (and stomachs) of the foodies on your gift list, including you.

Gift #9: A Bounty of Bread
Gift #10: A Chewy Cookie That Stays Chewy
Late last month, Dessert Comes First won as best book in the Food/Cookbook category at the Filipino Readers’ Choice awards. Thank you to everyone who voted for my book. It’s an honor indeed.
The award is the third in a list of accolades that my book has garnered:
World Cookbook Awards – finalist in the Best Pastry book category
Manila Critics Circle – finalist for Best Book Design
Filipino Readers’ Choice – WINNER, Food/Cookbook category
Over a year since my book came out, I still have people telling me that they need to get around to actually buying it. But as is more often the case, people want their copies signed.
I want to make things easier for people so all you have to do is pay the SRP of P1,499.00 through a bank deposit and I’ll ship my book to you – FREE of charge – for as long as you live in the Philippines. It will also be my pleasure to sign the book. I have a limited amount of copies that are going fast so email me. I still think the book is a terrific gift for any food lover. Thanks very much and I’d love to hear from you!
PS: The episode of The Clash: Search For The Next Great Dessert Master where I was a guest judge is having a final replay on Thursday, Dec. 4, at 6.00pm on the Lifestyle Network. Hope you can catch it!
