Hi Lori! Just an FYI. The little green mango like fruit is PAJO. Here in San Pablo City, Laguna, we diced it and mix it with red egg and tomatoes. or you may choose to mix it with patis for nilaga. It's also good with fried fish. = )

I love going to FTI's AANI market every Saturday (they're also open on Sundays but there's not as many vendors around.

You should try the Pinangat a stall sells over there. They're located near the plant area. 2 rows behind the pirated dvd sellers. I never leave AANI market without buying some.

Also love that they sell duck eggs here (great for making the wrappers for fresh lumpia)

Hey Lori, another market worth visiting is the Sunday market at Lung Center, Quezon Avenue. There's a stall that sells organic eggs at P10 each (I love eggs, too!), organic chicken (P350 per chicken; goes up to 1.5kilos a chicken) and they have endless stalls of fresh seafood, great variety, some of them I've never seen or tasted before--very intriguing.

I used to live in Paranaque, but never got the chance to market at FTI. This entry was a joy to read, I love going to the market! Veggies from the supermarket will never compare.

It is along the East Service Road, in between Bicutan and Magallanes exit. You won't miss it, just ask around that area. Everyone knows where FTI (Food Terminal Inc) is.

For once, I finally see an entry about a place I've been to before being featured on DCF. Although I admit I usually come here for the DVDs, this entry has given me better appreciation for the food.

The AANI Weekend Market, starting on Sat, Mar21 will be easier to find. Moving to a new location, as you enter the FTI Complex, there is Sunshine Mall on your left. The AANI Weekend Market will move behind Sunshine Mall.

This will be a better and bigger market. A Livestock area will be there to have live chickens and goats to start with :)
