Another invitation from me to you.

Exactly one week from today, my book will be launched. It’s a heady, thrilling time on Dessert Comes First right now and I’m working feverishly behind the scenes. In the midst of all the details I need to attend to, I relish this chance to be part of a distinctive event:

In the midst of all the details I need to attend to, I relish this chance to be part of a distinctive event:

The Instagram Project

Presented by The Podium.

I’m very flattered to have been invited by The Podium to participate in this Instagram-themed exhibit featuring – in their words -

“Twelve notable people from the art/ media/ fashion industry who post distinctive and awe-inspiring photos on Instagram.”

Though words are my world, I’ve also been honing my ability to tell my food stories through pictures, so it’s such a compliment and privilege to see my visual work on display alongside the photos of this esteemed group.

I’m warmly inviting each one of you to come to The Podium and see the exhibit beginning today until September 4, the day before my book is launched. Each of the 12 exhibitors’ photos will be showcased on a six-foot panel along with their respective profiles. As usual, my replies to the profile questions are food-focused and somewhat cheeky – just like (most of) my photos.

And of course, if you’d like to follow me on Instagram, here’s my food feed.

Huge thanks to The Podium again for including me in this project, something I consider my “first photo exhibit.” What an honor!

  • Oh, no, SAYANG that I only saw this post today! I was actually at Podium (which I rarely go to, due to the traffic) last Monday and I even saw this exhibit from afar. I didn’t check it out because I was in a bit of a hurry (I was starving — YOU understand), but if I’d known you were part of it, I would’ve surely taken the time. Too bad, because I see that my friends, Sid and Tim, are part of it, too. Sigh. That should teach me to take too long a hiatus from DCF! :-/
